Same Old Story, Same Old Coat
Posted by admin on May 27th, 2009 filed in My TunesA little diddy I wrote over 2008 Presidential election process. Got to thinking about the state of our political discourse in our country and thought I should add to it. God Bless America.

I hear thunder, I hear pain
Dancing idiots in the pouring rain
Man with the megaphone has gone insane
Pushing the poor to the drain
Same old story
Same old coat
you better start swimming
or none of us going to float
Dig ourselves deeper, dig our heels in
It can’t be good when the politicians grin
Can’t believe you bought it, I bought it too
One more fool sniffin’ up glue
It’s the same old story
It’s the same old coat
you better start swimming
or none of us going to float
[losers] What you doing there with your head in your hands
Seems like you have lost all your plans
[losers] Guess you could have thought of things with some good intentions
But who am I to judge?
Who am I to judge?
That’s the same old story
that’s the same old coat
Give me God, seems just right
Floating in the air just another night
It could be a morals that could be my goal
Wrapped around your fingers like an uneducated fool
Same old story
Same old coat
you better start swimming
or none of us going to float
[losers] What you doing there with your head in your hands
Seems like you have lost all your plans
[losers] Guess you could have thought of things with some good intentions
But who am I to judge?
Who am I to judge?
That’s the same old story
that’s the same old coat
