About me

40 has sucked—from the economy to my Mom’s illness with cancer this has been one lame year so far. 41 will be better, right?
I am a the creative director of the coolest ad agency called JAG. It’s been my life for the last 15 years. I work, I play, I work. Thank God I love what I do or I probably would be dead by now. I am a husband, I am a believer, I am a dad and a musician, I am a director and a creative thinker, mouse-catcher and a dog owner, but most of all—I’m just me.
Born in Pittsburgh, raised in San Diego and now call my home Fort Worth—cowtown baby. From BBQ and Billy Bobs, Lyle Lovett and the Dallas Cowboys. Life takes you on the road of near and far without stopping to look back.
Love the arts, love film—but most of all I truly dig music. It can be so deep and wide with saying so little to inspire. Raised on Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Neil Diamond and Roy Orbison—life has been a soundtrack—just press play.
I started my design career off at the ripe old age of 8, when I was hired to illustrate Meridan Elementary Schools Annual. I think it was my famous ostridge drawing days. After that I moved into making my own characters and comic books. But design had to take a backseat for a few years because music was about to take over my childhood. It started with a teacher called Mr Padrazzi. He drove an old vintage truck everyday to school, he taught me math but more than that he taught me Cat Stevens. He played Cat Stevens and John Denver almost everyday, and somehow that sipt into my being, never to let go.
Now a few years later, sometime in the late 70s, my dad would often take me to the swapmeet in Spring Valley, California—it’s really one of the arm-pits of San Diego. But at that time it had the best (junk) swapmeet around. We would always get up at the break of dawn to get there driving in a 1968 baby blue VW, just as the sun was peeking up it’s head. Because that’s when you get the best deals. On one fine day, not any ordinary day, I purchased my first Beatles album—yes an album, vinyl and all. It was the blue double album of the later years. Sgt Peppers to Let it Be—I was hooked. Now I don’t want this to sound like some type of religous experience—but from the moment I put the needle on the record player, something changed in me. I can’t explain it and I can’t even describe it, but man I was there. And from that time on, music was my motivation.
More to come.
